Subscriptions are not open yet. Everything on this page describes how they will work when they do; nothing is billed during the beta.
Sign up, connect one service or upload a file, and your 50 most recent activities are drawn in full: Lines and Webs on the map, your unique miles so far, and one place to explore next — routed on real trails and roads, with the GPX to download. The Preview has no card and no clock. Uploads are one file at a time.
Your whole history from every source, kept in sync as you record; the heatmap and every basemap; every number on the Stats page; every gap ranked and routed with its GPX; the review queue and the crop, cut and connect editors; photos on the map; the full note on your Strava and Ride with GPS activities; the bulk uploader. Billed once a year.
Explore starts with a 7-day free trial. You enter a card first — that is what lets us start importing your whole history straight away — and the 7 days start when your full map is ready, not when you enter the card, because a long history can take a while to bring in. You get an email the moment the clock starts, and another before the first charge. Cancel before the trial ends and nothing is charged. One trial per account.
$30 a year is the launch price. Subscribe during the beta or in the first 6 months after public launch and you keep $30 a year for as long as you stay subscribed.
Any charge — the first one after your trial, or an annual renewal — is refunded in full, no questions asked, if you ask within 14 days of it. How refunds and cancellation work →
An account with no subscription that has not signed in for 12 months is deleted, after two warning emails — 30 days before and 7 days before. Signing in at any point keeps it. A subscribed account is never deleted for inactivity.
Payments are handled by Stripe, and the seller of record is Link, Stripe's merchant of record — your card statement reads LINK.COM* LINESPROJ, receipts come from Link, and sales tax or VAT is added or included according to where you are. The Lines Project is made by Singletrack Media, LLC. We never see your card number.
Do I need a Strava subscription? No. A free Strava account is enough, and The Lines Project also works from Ride with GPS or from GPX and FIT files you upload — including a whole Strava export.
Is there a monthly plan? No. Explore is billed once a year.
Phone apps? Later, at the same price.
How do I cancel? From your Account page, or from the receipt Link emails you. Access runs to the end of the year you paid for.
